Introduction of New Trains in Agra Division
The Railway Division in Agra is set to enhance its services with the introduction of two Vande Metro trains and one Vande Bharat Express. The launch of these services is expected to be announced shortly before the Diwali festival. Preparations are underway by the Railway Board administration to facilitate this development. The Vande Metro trains will operate on two key routes: from Agra to New Delhi and from Agra to Lucknow.
Details of Train Operations
The Vande Bharat Express will run between Jodhpur and Agra three days a week, catering to the growing demand for efficient travel options. The specifics regarding fare, the number of coaches, and the timetable for these three trains will be disclosed soon. Currently, the Agra division is already operating four Vande Bharat Express trains, and there is a significant demand for a Vande Metro service between Agra and New Delhi, which will replace the existing New Delhi Intercity service.
Specifications and Capacity
The new Vande Metro trains will have a maximum operational speed of 110 km/h and will be capable of accommodating 1,150 passengers. These trains are designed to make two trips each day, significantly improving travel convenience for passengers. The second Vande Metro train will serve the route from Agra to Lucknow, replacing the Lucknow Intercity service and stopping at all stations that the current Intercity service covers. Additionally, the Vande Bharat Express service is being adjusted to better meet passenger needs, with the Jodhpur to Agra route being introduced to complement existing services.
