A tragic incident occurred at the busy Rajiv Chowk Metro Station on Friday afternoon when a woman sustained severe injuries after falling on the tracks. This event caused temporary panic among commuters and disrupted services at one of Delhi’s busiest hubs. In a separate investigation that has shocked the capital, Delhi Police are also probing the mysterious death of three individuals found inside a car in Outer Delhi, with new angles emerging regarding a ‘poison pact’ involving a self-styled godman.

What happened at Rajiv Chowk Metro Station?

On March 6, 2026, around 1:23 PM, an unidentified woman fell onto the metro tracks at the Rajiv Chowk station. According to witnesses and officials, she suffered critical head trauma due to the fall and required immediate medical attention. The incident led to a temporary halt in services as emergency teams worked to rescue the victim and clear the tracks.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and local police responded quickly to manage the crowd. While the investigation is still in the early stages, police have stated that preliminary evidence points towards a suicide attempt. Officers are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the platform to determine the exact sequence of events that led to this tragedy.

Details on the Peeragarhi Triple Death Case

In another grim case currently under active investigation, three bodies were recovered from a locked white Tata Tiago parked on the Peeragarhi flyover. The victims were identified as Randhir Singh (76), Shiv Naresh Singh (47), and a woman named Laxmi Devi (40). Police noted that there were no external injuries on the bodies, and all valuables inside the car were found intact.

Investigators discovered disposable glasses inside the vehicle containing traces of soda mixed with a very strong poison. While early findings suggested a suicide pact, the police are now investigating murder angles as well. A self-styled ‘baba’ (godman), whom the victims met on the morning of the incident, has been rounded up for questioning. Police are waiting for final toxicology reports to close the loop on this mysterious case.
