The Badi Sadri-Neemuch rail project has reached a critical stage with the successful completion of high-speed trials on the new broad gauge track. During the recent testing phase, a train reached a speed of 110 kmph between Jaloda Jagir and Badi Sadri stations. This progress indicates that the track is ready for passenger operations, pending final safety clearances from the authorities.
Key highlights of the speed trial and next steps
The trial was conducted by senior engineers and technical staff to check the fitness of the newly electrified broad gauge line. The results were found to be satisfactory by the construction department officials who were present during the run.
- The speed trial was held over two days between Jaloda Jagir and Badi Sadri.
- Technical staff including Section Engineer Ritesh Kumar and Loco Pilot Bhagwatilal Meena monitored the trial.
- Final inspection by the Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) is the next mandatory step.
- Regular passenger train services will start once the CRS gives the green signal.
