Bokaro Steel City Railway Station is undergoing a major transformation under the Amrit Bharat Station Yojana to provide world-class facilities to passengers. The South Eastern Railway is focusing on modernizing the station infrastructure to match international standards. General Manager Anil Kumar Mishra recently inspected the progress and confirmed that approximately 95 percent of the development work has already been finished. The project aims to improve overall connectivity and the passenger experience by March 2026.

The redevelopment plan includes a modern station facade and a spacious concourse area designed to handle high passenger footfall. Travelers will have access to an executive lounge, a VIP lounge, and a new cafeteria. To ensure smooth movement, the station is being equipped with additional lifts and escalators. Furthermore, advanced passenger information systems and digital signage will be installed to provide real-time updates, offering a navigation experience similar to modern airports.

The project includes several upgrades focused on convenience and local promotion. A dedicated One Station One Product kiosk has been set up to promote regional items.
