Information about the proposed Bullet Train project in Bihar connecting Varanasi to Siliguri with an elevated corridor in Patna district.
Bihar is set to get a speed boost with the proposed Bullet Train project connecting Varanasi to Siliguri. A 65-kilometer-long elevated corridor will be built in Patna district.
The project involves marking more than 60 villages for track construction, with land acquisition as needed.
The main station for the Bullet Train in Patna is planned near Fulwari Sharif AIIMS. Serious discussions are also underway for building elevated tracks around AIIMS, Fulwari Sharif, and Patliputra stations.
To preserve nature, around 3,885 trees in Patna district that may be affected by the construction will be transplanted instead of being cut down. The process of obtaining NOCs from the forest department will begin soon.
The Bullet Train will have stops in Patna and Katihar in Bihar, covering the distance from Varanasi to Siliguri in just 2 hours and 55 minutes at a speed of 350 kilometers per hour. This project is expected to boost Bihar’s economic, industrial, and tourism development.
