Bihar Road Project update on construction work from Sherpur to Koilwar starting in April.
Construction work on several road projects in Patna, including the expansion of JP Ganga Path, is underway. The construction of JP Ganga Path between Dehri and Koilwar, spanning approximately 36 kilometers, will be done in two phases. The first phase will involve building a road from Sherpur to Koilwar. The second phase will focus on constructing an elevated road from Sherpur to Dehri.
An agency from Hyderabad has been awarded the work order for constructing the road from Sherpur to Koilwar by building an earthen embankment covering around 18 kilometers. The agency is preparing to commence work after receiving the work order from Vishwa Samudra. Construction is expected to start this month.
With work set to begin in April, the construction of the road will provide convenience for travelers between Koilwar and Patna. The completion of the road will ease traffic congestion between Koilwar and Bihita. The road will be built by filling earth on both sides of the embankment in Maner.
In the second phase, an elevated road spanning 17 kilometers will be constructed between Dehri and Sherpur. The construction is likely to start after the monsoon season. The agency has a target of completing the construction from Dehri to Koilwar within four years, followed by a maintenance period of 10 years.
The agency will be responsible for maintaining the road after its construction, ensuring a smooth journey for travelers from Dehri to Koilwar.
