Train Expansion Proposal
If you are looking to travel from Bhagalpur to Lucknow, there is exciting news on the horizon. The railway authorities have put forward a proposal to extend the Barauni-Lucknow Express train service to Bhagalpur. A feasibility report regarding this expansion has already been submitted, and the only remaining step is to secure approval from the Lucknow division for the initiative to move forward.
Benefits for Local Passengers
This proposed extension will greatly benefit passengers from Bhagalpur, Banka, Munger, and Sultanganj by providing them with a direct route to Lucknow. Currently, there are only three trains operating on this route; the addition of the Barauni-Lucknow Express will make it the fourth train, helping to alleviate the crowding and manage the increasing number of travelers more efficiently.
Changes in Train Schedules
Additionally, there are updates regarding the timing of the Brahmaputra Mail Express, which serves the Bhagalpur route. Starting from February 26, the train will depart from Kamakhya at 2:55 PM and arrive in Bhagalpur at 4:55 PM. In the return journey, it will leave Bhagalpur at 7:06 PM and reach Delhi at 8:40 AM. The Patna-LTT Express will also see changes in its schedule. The new intercity train service from Bhagalpur to Lucknow is expected to commence once the Railway Board grants approval.
