Indian Railways has announced the operation of a summer special train between Gorakhpur and Hazrat Nizamuddin to manage the heavy passenger rush during the upcoming vacation season. This special service, operating under train numbers 05101 and 05102, will perform a total of 29 trips. According to North Eastern Railway CPRO Pankaj Kumar Singh, the train is designed to provide confirmed seats and a comfortable travel experience to passengers on this high-demand route.

What are the timings and detailed route of the special train?
The train will connect Gorakhpur to Delhi via several key stations in Eastern and Central Uttar Pradesh. Train number 05101 will depart from Gorakhpur at 16:00 on Saturdays and Tuesdays, reaching Hazrat Nizamuddin at 07:30 the following morning. For the return journey, train number 05102 will leave New Delhi at 09:45 on Sundays and Wednesdays, arriving in Gorakhpur at 01:00. The detailed list of stoppages is provided below:

This summer special service will operate from April 7 to July 14, 2026, from the Gorakhpur end, and from April 8 to July 15, 2026, from the New Delhi end. To accommodate different classes of travelers, the train will feature 22 coaches in total. This includes 12 AC Third Economy coaches, 4 Sleeper class coaches, and 4 General Second Class coaches along with two SLRD units.
