Indian Railways has announced a special weekly unreserved train to handle the extra rush of passengers during the upcoming Holi festival in 2026. This train will operate between Udhna Junction in Surat and Hasanpur Road to facilitate easy travel for migrant workers and families. Western Railway officials confirmed that this service is being introduced to manage the heavy crowd usually seen on routes towards Bihar and Eastern Uttar Pradesh during the festive season.
What is the Schedule for Udhna – Hasanpur Road Special Train?
The new special train will run on a weekly basis, providing a convenient option for passengers who could not secure confirmed tickets on regular trains. Train No. 09031 will depart from Udhna Junction every Sunday starting from mid-February. The return service, Train No. 09032, will leave Hasanpur Road every Monday. Passengers should note the departure and arrival timings carefully before planning their journey to the station.

How to Book Tickets and What are the Fare Rules?
This train falls under the Unreserved Special category, which means passengers do not need to book tickets in advance through the IRCTC website. Tickets can be purchased directly from the Unreserved Ticketing System (UTS) counters at the railway stations. Since this is a special train, the ticket prices will be charged under the ‘Special Fare’ category, which is typically higher than the regular unreserved ticket rates.
Western Railway has also set up dedicated passenger holding areas at Udhna station to manage the crowd effectively. These areas are equipped with drinking water and toilets to ensure passenger comfort while waiting. Travelers are advised to reach the station at least 2 to 3 hours before the scheduled departure time to buy tickets and board the train safely without rushing.
