Indian Railways has introduced significant changes to its bedroll services across several premium and sleeper class trains. These updates focus on hygiene and transparency by providing high-quality sanitized kits and digital tracking systems. The move aims to improve the overall passenger experience and address long-standing complaints regarding the cleanliness of linen provided during long-distance journeys.
Upgraded bedroll service with QR codes for Premium trains
Passengers traveling in the Dibrugarh-New Delhi Rajdhani and Agartala-Anand Vihar Tejas Express will now receive upgraded bedroll kits. These kits are sealed and sanitized to ensure hygiene. A unique QR code is printed on the linen, which passengers can scan to check the washing date and other hygiene-related information. This facility is currently available for First and Second AC coaches to maintain high standards of transparency.
