The 97-year-old Jalore Railway Station is undergoing a complete transformation under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. Jodhpur division is working at a fast pace to complete the new building and open it for passengers by August 2026. Most of the construction work is already finished, and the station is being decorated with Jodhpur sandstone to give it a grand look.

What are the new facilities for passengers at Jalore Station
The project aims to provide modern facilities that make travel easier for everyone. A new 12-meter wide foot overbridge is being built with options for lifts, ramps, and stairs. The station will also feature automatic ticket machines, electronic display boards, and high-quality seating areas. For safety, CCTV cameras and a dedicated police outpost are being set up within the premises.
Impact of station redevelopment on regional growth
According to DRM Anurag Tripathi, this redevelopment will turn the station into a center for regional progress and tourism. The plan includes a special One Station One Product store to promote local business. There is also a plan to shift the goods platform to Bagra to support the local granite industry. Detailed features include:
- Modern design with traditional Jodhpur sandstone
- New lifts and ramps for Divyang passengers
- Development of green zones and clean waiting areas
- Better connectivity with the upcoming Sirohi railway line
