Residents of Jamshedpur will soon experience smoother commutes as Indian Railways initiates the process for three new overbridges. The construction of these railway overbridges (ROBs) at Parsudih, Karandih, and Sundernagar is set to resolve long-standing traffic issues at busy crossings. This project aims to improve the overall urban mobility within the city and surrounding areas.
Where will the new overbridges be built and what is the current status
The Railways has finalized plans for three key locations in Jamshedpur which include Parsudih, Karandih, and Sundernagar. A detailed survey for these projects has already commenced to determine the technical requirements and layout for construction. This step marks the beginning of the infrastructure development phase for these busy railway crossings. MP Vidyutvaran Mahto has consistently raised this issue to ensure the project moves forward for public benefit.
How will these new overbridges benefit the common man
- Permanent solution to heavy traffic jams at busy railway crossings
- Faster movement for school buses and emergency ambulances
- Enhanced safety for pedestrians and local vehicle drivers
- Significant reduction in travel time for daily commuters
- Improved connectivity between different residential and commercial zones
The survey work is the first major step in bringing this project to reality. Once the survey report is processed, the actual construction timeline will be determined. The focus remains on providing a hassle-free travel experience for the thousands of people who cross these tracks every day.
