Changes to Train Operations on Kiul-Gaya Railway Line

Due to the completion of the doubling and electrification work on the Kiul-Gaya railway line, significant changes have been implemented for a dozen trains operating on this route. The travel time for these trains has been reduced by ten minutes to one and a half hours. This new schedule will take effect starting Thursday. Nawada MP Vivek Thakur and Danapur’s Divisional Railway Manager Jayant Kumar Chaudhary held a press conference to announce that trains on this block will now operate at their full potential, increasing speeds from 75 km/h to 100-130 km/h.

Benefits of the New Schedule

The recent changes will ensure that trains arrive at their destinations more promptly. For instance, trains will now reach Gaya approximately 30 minutes to one and a half hours earlier than before. MP Thakur highlighted that the ongoing construction of the Neura Daniyavan Barbigha railway line is expected to be completed by July, with plans for an inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Special emphasis is being placed on the Kiul-Gaya railway block, with the Nawada station undergoing development under the Amrit Bharat Scheme to enhance passenger facilities.

Revised Train Timings

Several trains have updated their schedules as part of this overhaul. For example, train no. 63321 Kiul-Gaya Memu will now depart Kiul at 04:30 PM and arrive in Gaya at 09:05 AM, while the return journey will leave Gaya at 10:45 AM and reach Kiul at 03:10 PM. Similarly, train no. 53627 Kiul-Gaya Passenger will now arrive in Gaya at 06:00 AM instead of 10:20 PM, with the return trip departing Gaya at 07:30 PM. Other trains, such as the 13023 Howrah-Gaya Express, will also see slight adjustments in their arrival times, ensuring more efficient service on this improved railway line.
