Northern Railway’s Lucknow Division has announced the operation of two new special trains to Mumbai to handle the summer rush. These services will connect Sultanpur and Varanasi to Lokmanyatilak Terminus through Lucknow. Senior DCM Kuldeep Tiwari stated that these trains are being introduced to make travel more convenient during the peak heat months. These special trains will start operating from May 2026 and continue until July 2026.
Schedule of Sultanpur-LTT Weekly Special Train
The train number 04212 will leave Sultanpur every Wednesday at 4:00 AM starting May 20, 2026. It will reach Lucknow at 6:20 AM and finally arrive at Mumbai LTT the next day at 12:20 PM. The return train, 04211, will depart from LTT every Thursday at 2:35 PM from May 21, 2026. This service will reach Lucknow the next day at 8:50 PM and conclude its journey at Sultanpur at 11:00 PM.

Details for Varanasi-LTT Reserved Special Train
The Varanasi-LTT Special (04226) is set to run every Thursday beginning May 21, 2026. It will depart Varanasi at 1:35 AM, stopping at Lucknow at 6:20 AM, and reaching LTT at 12:20 PM the following day. For the return leg, train number 04225 will leave LTT every Friday at 2:35 PM. It will reach Lucknow at 8:50 PM on Saturday and arrive back in Varanasi at 2:05 AM on Sunday morning.
