For instance, the Intercity train between Kiul and Malda will not run on September 3rd. The Brahmaputra Mail coming from Delhi to Kamakhya will take a different route via Mokama-Barauni from August 30th to September 2nd. Similarly, the train going from Kamakhya to Delhi will also skip Bhagalpur and travel via Barauni-Mokama during this time.
Passengers should also note that the weekly express train from Bhagalpur to Gaya will change its route on September 1st, running via Katihar-Khagaria-Munger-Jamalpur. On September 2nd, the train from Gaya to Kamakhya will also avoid Bhagalpur and take the Munger-Khagaria route instead.
Additionally, the Bengaluru-New Tinsukia Express will be diverted through Rampurhat-Bhagalpur-Jamalpur-Khagaria to reach Katihar on September 2nd. There was also a cancellation of the Amarnath Express from Bhagalpur to Jammu on August 28th due to heavy rains in Jammu.
To ensure passenger safety, the Railway Protection Force has organized awareness programs at Bhagalpur and Jamalpur stations. These programs focus on important safety measures, warning passengers about issues like chain pulling and stone pelting near railway lines.
