Extension of New Delhi-Kosi Kalan EMU to Dholpur
The extension of the New Delhi-Kosi Kalan EMU to Dholpur is effective from April 1 to June 30. This decision will help passengers traveling between Delhi, Agra, and Rajasthan. The train will make several stops including Agra Cantt, providing a crucial link for daily commuters during the summer season. Railway officials stated that this extension is part of their effort to handle the increased passenger load on this busy corridor.
Important Train Cancellations and Route Changes
Due to scheduled maintenance and a power block by Northern Railway, several changes have been made to the regular timetable. Passengers are advised to check their train status before heading to the station. Key updates include:
- Jhansi-Lucknow MEMU: Train numbers 64701 and 64702 will remain cancelled from April 2 to May 13.
- Route Diversions: Northern Railway has confirmed that certain trains will follow diverted routes in April due to technical maintenance work.
- RPF Strictness: The Railway Protection Force has stepped up vigilance against unauthorized chain pulling. Recent reports show that 37 cases were registered, resulting in a total fine collection of 21,500 rupees.
