New system implemented in Bihar where officers and common people interact face to face on Mondays and Fridays.
In Bihar, a new system has been introduced starting today. Officers and common people will now have face-to-face conversations on Mondays and Fridays. This initiative allows common people to share their problems with officers for quick solutions. The announcement was made by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday.
The Chief Secretary Pratyay Amrit had earlier issued directives to all department officials. Specific days and times were allocated in government offices to listen to the problems of the general public. Necessary facilities like water, seating, and toilets will be provided for people visiting government offices.
This meeting will take place every Monday and Friday in various government offices at different levels. People can meet relevant officials in their workspaces or offices to discuss their problems, from gram panchayats to the state level.
Complaints received from people meeting officials will be noted in a complaint register for monitoring. If officers are unavailable on the designated days, authorized officers will meet and listen to people’s grievances.
To meet officials in the Secretariat, individuals must obtain gate passes for main entry. People can meet the Additional Chief Secretary of the department from 2 PM to 5 PM on Mondays and from 11 AM to 1 PM on Fridays.
