Launch of New Vande Bharat Express Trains
Railway administration has announced the introduction of four new Vande Bharat Express trains from Pune, increasing the total count of these high-speed trains operating from the city to six. This initiative aims to enhance the travel experience for commuters by offering a fast, convenient, and comfortable mode of transportation. Currently, two Vande Bharat trains operate on the Pune-Hubli, Pune-Kolhapur, and Mumbai-Solapur (via Pune) routes.
New Routes for Enhanced Connectivity
The newly launched Vande Bharat trains will serve the Pune-Shegaon, Pune-Vadodara, Pune-Secunderabad, and Pune-Belagavi routes. Although the starting dates for these services have yet to be announced, they are expected to commence soon. The addition of these routes is anticipated to significantly reduce travel time, providing passengers with greater convenience and improved connectivity to key destinations.
Ticket Pricing Information
Ticket prices for the existing Vande Bharat trains from Pune vary based on the route and type of coach. For instance, on the Pune-Kolhapur route, general seats are priced at ₹560, while special coaches cost ₹1,135, operating three days a week (Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday). On the Pune-Hubli route, general seats are available for ₹1,530, and special coaches for ₹2,780. Ticket prices for the new Vande Bharat trains will be announced shortly.
