Indian Railways has officially transitioned its passenger services to the RailOne App, a comprehensive platform designed to provide a single interface for all travel needs. Developed by the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS), this super app consolidates various functions like ticket bookings, real-time tracking, and grievance redressal into one place. The migration was completed after the UTS app was discontinued on March 1, 2026, making RailOne the primary tool for both unreserved and reserved travel.
Key features and benefits of the RailOne super app
The RailOne app is built to handle heavy traffic and offers a user-friendly interface for passengers. It integrates services that were previously scattered across multiple applications like IRCTC Rail Connect, NTES, and Rail Madad. Passengers can now manage their entire journey from a single login using biometrics or an mPIN.
| Service Type | Features Available |
|---|---|
| Ticket Booking | Reserved, Unreserved, and Platform tickets |
| Live Tracking | Real-time train status and PNR enquiry |
| Food Services | Onboard e-catering and meal ordering |
| Grievance | Integrated Rail Madad for quick redressal |

How to manage R-Wallet migration and app access
Passengers who were using the UTS app can transfer their R-Wallet balances to RailOne by registering with the same mobile number. If a user does not wish to migrate, they can surrender their wallet at UTS counters for a refund after a small clerkage charge. The app also supports legacy credentials from the RailConnect and UTS platforms, ensuring a smooth transition for existing users. It is currently available for download on both the Android Play Store and the iOS App Store.
