Indian Railways is making a big shift in how passengers book general tickets. The popular UTS on Mobile app will be permanently discontinued starting March 1, 2026. Commuters who rely on this app for unreserved tickets must switch to the new RailOne app immediately. The authorities have already disabled new user registrations and season ticket renewals on the old platform to force this transition before the final deadline.
Why you must switch to RailOne App immediately
The RailOne app is being launched as a Super App developed by CRIS to combine all railway services in one place. Unlike the old system where you needed different apps for different needs, RailOne handles unreserved tickets, reserved seat bookings, and live train tracking together. Existing users do not need to sign up again. You can simply use your old IRCTC or UTS login credentials to access the new app. If you have any balance left in your R-Wallet, it will be transferred to the new app without any loss.
Discount offer and key dates for passengers
To help passengers during this change, Indian Railways has announced a promotional discount scheme. This offer started on January 14 and will run until July 14, 2026. Passengers booking via the RailOne app can save money on their daily travel.
