In anticipation of increased passenger traffic during the Diwali and Chhath festivals, the Railways has announced the operation of two pairs of special trains on distinct routes. This initiative is designed to alleviate congestion and facilitate a smoother travel experience for passengers journeying across the country during this festive period. The special trains will operate between Tata-Katihar-Tata and Ranchi-Purnia Court-Ranchi, as confirmed by the Public Relations Officer of the Asansol Railway Division.
Details of Tata-Katihar Special Train
The 08181 Tata-Katihar Special train is scheduled to depart from Tata at 10:40 PM on November 4th and November 11th, arriving in Katihar the following day at 03:15 PM. Conversely, the 08182 Katihar-Tata special train will leave Katihar at 07:40 PM on November 5th and November 12th, reaching Tata at 11:00 AM the next day. Both trains will make stops at Asansol, Chittaranjan, Madhupur, and Jasidih stations in both directions and will offer general second class, sleeper class, and air-conditioned coaches for passengers’ convenience.
Details of Ranchi-Purnia Court Special Train
The 08626 Ranchi-Purnia Court Special train will depart from Ranchi at 06:00 PM on November 3rd and November 10th, arriving in Purnia the next day at 11:00 AM. On the return journey, the 08625 Purnia Court-Ranchi special train will leave Purnia Court at 12:10 PM on November 4th and November 11th, reaching Ranchi at 05:30 PM the following day. This train will also stop at Asansol and Andal stations in both directions and will provide general second class, sleeper class, and air-conditioned coaches for passengers.
