Railway Protection Force Operation
The Railway Protection Force (RPF) at Khurja has successfully exposed a case of black marketing involving railway e-tickets. This operation was conducted under the leadership of RPF Khurja Junction in-charge Nandlal Meena, highlighting the ongoing efforts to combat illegal ticket sales within the railway system.
Arrest of the Accused
During the operation, a youth named Prashant Saini was arrested. Saini, who resides in Khatri Wada, Secunderabad, is identified as the director of the Digital Computer Public Service Center. According to the RPF, he was involved in booking e-tickets using his personal user ID and subsequently selling these tickets at inflated prices.
Seizure of Goods and Legal Action
From the arrested individual, tickets valued at over Rs 14,000 were recovered, along with a computer and mobile phones used in the illegal activity. A case has been filed against Prashant under Section 143 of the Railway Act. Following his presentation in the railway court in Aligarh, he has been remanded to judicial custody.
