Major trains heading towards Bihar including Tejas Rajdhani and Sampoorna Kranti are already booked for the Holi rush. Between February 20 and March 3, almost all premium services show no room for passengers. To manage this massive crowd, Indian Railways has announced 1,410 special train trips, which is a 25 percent increase compared to the previous year. East Central Railway CPRO Saraswati Chandra confirmed that 285 special trips are specifically for Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.

The special trains will mainly operate from March 1 to March 22, 2026. Passengers should note that the fare for these special trains is 30 percent higher than regular mail or express trains. Subsidized Bus Services by Bihar Government
Bihar Transport Minister Shravan Kumar announced that BSRTC will operate 200 special buses to help migrant workers and students. These buses will run from February 15 to March 15 connecting major cities to Bihar. The government is offering subsidies on AC bus tickets to make travel affordable during the festive season. The subsidies range from 600 to 1,000 rupees per ticket.

- Delhi to Patna (AC Seater): Fare reduced to 1,254 rupees from 1,873 rupees
- Total Bus Count: 62 buses from Delhi and 40 from Haryana are currently planned
