The Samastipur Railway Division is set to enhance passenger safety by installing an advanced panic emergency system across all A, B, and C category stations. This new mechanism allows passengers and staff to trigger an immediate alert during emergencies or security threats. A private agency has been tasked with the installation, ensuring that both security teams and division officials receive real-time notifications for quick response.

How the emergency panic system works
The safety system features a large red panic button located near every platform and ticket counter for easy access. When a passenger or employee presses the button, a loud siren activates immediately to alert everyone in the vicinity. Simultaneously, an electronic alert is sent to the Station Master and railway security agencies for swift intervention. The entire operation is monitored through an online network at the Samastipur Division headquarters to ensure accountability and coordination.
