Train number 08611, the Santragachi-Ajmer Special, is scheduled to operate every Monday from April 6 to June 29. On the return leg, train number 08612, the Ajmer-Santragachi Special, will run every Thursday between April 9 and July 2. This extension ensures that travelers from regions like Tata, Ranchi, Barwadih, and Garhwa Road have continued access to this special service throughout the peak summer months.
Details of Route and Additional Coach Enhancements
The East Central Railway administration is also focusing on other major routes to manage the passenger load. In addition to the special train extension, extra AC and sleeper coaches are being added to the Sealdah-Ajmer and Kolkata-Bikaner Pratap Express. This step will specifically benefit passengers traveling through Dhanbad and nearby stations. The railway officials confirmed that these measures are part of a broader plan to manage the holiday season travel demand effectively.
