Additional Coaches in Jammu Tawi Express

In response to the ongoing issue of passenger congestion, South Eastern Railway has announced the introduction of an additional coach in the Jammu Tawi Express, which operates from Tatanagar in the Chakradharpur Railway Division. This new arrangement will take effect from February 5, enabling passengers to secure confirmed tickets more easily. Specifically, an extra AC three-tier coach will be added to train number 18101, which runs from Tatanagar to Amritsar, enhancing the travel experience for passengers.

Kumbh Mela Special Train Operations

To accommodate the increased passenger traffic anticipated during the Mahakumbh Mela 2025, the South Eastern Railway will also operate a special train service. The Ranchi-Tundla Kumbh Mela Special Train, numbered 08067/08068, will be introduced for this purpose. The outbound train, 08067, is scheduled to depart from Ranchi on February 5 at 08:00, stopping at key locations such as Muri, Barkakana, and Daltonganj before reaching Tundla at 06:30. This train will operate as a one-time trip to facilitate passenger travel during the festival.

Additional Coaches for Other Trains

In addition to the special Kumbh Mela train, the Railways has announced plans to add extra coaches to various regular trains throughout February. For instance, on February 6, 13, and 20, an additional second and third AC coach will be included in train number 12495, the Bikaner-Kolkata Pratap Express. Similarly, the Kolkata-Bikaner Pratap Express (12496) will see additional second and third AC coaches on February 7, 14, and 21. These enhancements aim to manage the increased demand for train travel during this busy period.
