Western Railway has officially announced the extension of special train services between Gujarat and Mangaluru to accommodate the heavy rush of passengers during the upcoming summer season. These long-distance trains provide essential connectivity for people traveling from Surat and Ahmedabad to the Konkan region and coastal Karnataka. The extension will ensure that passengers have more options for their journey through May and the first week of June 2026.

The authorities have decided to continue the operations of four specific special trains with their existing timings and stoppages. These services include bi-weekly and weekly runs that have proven to be very popular among travelers on the Konkan route. Booking information and regularization of services
The booking for the extended trips of the Ahmedabad-Mangaluru Special started on March 26, while the window for the Surat-Mangaluru services opened on March 27, 2026. Vineet Abhishek, the Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, shared that the Surat-Mangaluru Special has also been regularized as Train No. 19057/19058 Surat-Mangaluru Express. Passengers can book their tickets through the IRCTC website or at railway reservation counters. These trains will continue to serve the same stations and follow the previous time table during the extended period.
