A 12-year-old boy has been arrested for throwing stones at a train near Saharanpur, causing damage and panic among passengers.



A recent incident near Saharanpur has led to the arrest of a 12-year-old boy for throwing stones at the Vande Bharat Express train. This incident took place on Sunday morning while the train was near the Bhayla level crossing.

The stone-throwing broke a window in coach C-1, which caused panic among the passengers on board. Railway police and intelligence officials quickly arrived at the scene to investigate the matter further.


Following a complaint from the train’s pilot, the Muzaffarnagar Railway Protection Force (RPF) registered a case under the Railway Act. Both the RPF and local police took the situation seriously and began an in-depth investigation.

Investigators reviewed nearby CCTV footage and discovered that the boy, who comes from a nomadic family living close to the tracks, had thrown the stones while playing. He was later taken into custody from his village in Pilibhit.


The boy’s family reportedly makes a living by begging. After his arrest, he was handed over to the Muzaffarnagar RPF for further questioning regarding the incident.
