The workers, mainly from Jammu and Kashmir, were on their way to work on a power grid project in Arunachal Pradesh. However, some locals became suspicious and stopped them for questioning.

Videos circulating on social media showed the workers sitting outside the station, while locals expressed their worries, questioning if the group had come from Pakistan. This sentiment was partly fueled by recent events in Delhi.

Local authorities, including the Tinsukia SSP, clarified that the workers were skilled laborers. They were simply traveling for work, and the police have increased vigilance in the area to address any security concerns.
