The Bengaluru-Ernakulam Vande Bharat Express, the first semi-high-speed train connecting Bengaluru with Kerala, has started its journey. The train was inaugurated early in the morning at 4:30 AM from the KSR Bengaluru station, with many excited passengers ready for the trip.

As the train left on time at 5:10 AM, passengers enjoyed breakfast options like idli, sambar, and bread omelet. The train quickly reached the second station at Krishnarajapuram by 5:23 AM, and all seats were filled with eager travelers.


This new train covers a distance of 638 kilometers in just 8 hours and 40 minutes, making it a fast travel option. The ticket prices are ₹1,655 for chair cars and ₹3,015 for executive chair cars. Currently, there are no daytime bus services from Bengaluru to central and southern Kerala.

The train has many features like LED displays in multiple languages, comfortable seating, and modern bio toilets. It also offers a pleasant travel experience with good food and timely service, which passengers appreciated.


Due to high demand, tickets for the train are quickly getting booked, with many already on the waitlist for upcoming days. The service will not run on Wednesdays, but it operates on all other days of the week, making it a popular choice for travelers.
