What’s inside:

A recent incident on the Vande Bharat Express train caused panic among passengers due to stone pelting in Bihar.

A troubling incident took place on the Vande Bharat Express train running from Jamalpur to Howrah in Bihar. On September 2, 2025, while passing near the Punjwara Road halt in Bhagalpur, some mischief-makers threw stones at the train, causing chaos inside.

The stones broke two windows of coach C-4, leading to a panic among the passengers. Many people, especially families traveling with children, quickly moved away from the windows to find safer spots. The train crew and Railway Protection Force (RPF) were alerted about the situation.

In response to the emergency, the train driver decided to halt the train for safety reasons. After informing the authorities, they checked the surrounding area to ensure everything was clear before continuing the journey towards the destination.

Initial investigations suggested that children aged around 11 to 12 years were behind the stone pelting incident. The railway officials have promised to identify those responsible and take action against them to prevent such incidents in the future.

This is not the first time stone pelting has occurred on the Vande Bharat Express in Bhagalpur. Such incidents have raised concerns about passenger safety, and despite previous warnings, these acts of mischief continue to happen.

Summary:

  • Vande Bharat Express faced stone pelting in Bhagalpur.

  • Two windows were broken, causing panic among passengers.

  • Train was stopped briefly for safety checks.

  • Children aged 11-12 may be responsible for the incident.

  • Authorities plan to take action against the culprits.
