Good news for train travelers! The first sleeper Vande Bharat train is set to begin its journey from Delhi to Patna in September. This will be a big step as it’s the first of its kind in the country.

After the Patna route, the train service will gradually extend to Bhopal and Ahmedabad. While the exact path for the Ahmedabad route is still being decided, it is likely to pass through Jaipur.


This new train will cover the distance between Delhi and Ahmedabad, which is about 1000 kilometers, in just 8 to 9 hours. Currently, other trains take nearly 14 hours for the same journey.
