Jammu is currently facing issues with train services as thick fog continues to disrupt operations. On Thursday, trains arriving at Jammu railway station were delayed for the second day in a row.
Many important express trains were running late, arriving hours behind schedule. Additionally, some trains were completely cancelled, leaving passengers frustrated and confused about their travel plans.
Among the cancelled services were the Delhi-Udhampur AC Express, the Humsafar Express, and the Vande Bharat Express from Amritsar to Katra. Passengers were particularly affected as one train from Jammu was also delayed.
For instance, the Shri Shakti Express arrived nearly two hours late. Other trains like the Jammu Rajdhani Express and Hemkund Express faced delays of up to three hours. Most of the long-distance trains reported issues with timing as well.
Despite the chaos, the Jhelum Express managed to reach on time. However, the Begumpura Express from Jammu left after a delay of about two hours, making travel planning challenging for many.
