Heavy rains and floods in Jammu-Kashmir and Punjab have caused major disruptions in train services. As a result, 47 trains, including the popular Vande Bharat and Rajdhani Express, have been cancelled.

The railway track between Kathua and Madhopur has suffered damage, leading to the halt of train movement in this region. Railway officials are working on repairs, but many trains will remain cancelled for now.


Passengers are facing a lot of inconvenience, especially those who have been trying to travel for the past few days. Key trains like New Delhi-Jammu Rajdhani, New Delhi-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Vande Bharat Express, and several others have been affected.

In Himachal Pradesh, the Chamba district is experiencing severe landslides due to continuous heavy rain. Many homes have been destroyed, and some villages are completely gone, forcing people to seek shelter in temporary setups or with relatives.


The local administration has stepped up rescue and relief efforts, but the ongoing rains continue to hamper these operations. Many pilgrims from the Mani Mahesh Yatra are missing, and communication issues have left families worried.
