As soon as the wire fell, the Vande Bharat train that was approaching Diwana station had to be stopped. Railway officials quickly rushed to the scene to assess the situation and fix the issue.
After receiving the report of the incident, SE Lokesh Meena and his team arrived around 1:15 PM. They worked hard to restore the track, and by around 2:45 PM, the train services were back to normal.
This incident caused a major disruption in train traffic at Panipat railway station. For example, the New Delhi Shatabdi Express train was held up at the station from 2:15 PM to 3:50 PM.
