What’s inside:

The Indore-Nagpur Vande Bharat Express train is being upgraded to have 16 coaches instead of 8, making it easier for passengers to get tickets.

The Indore-Nagpur Vande Bharat Express train is set to get an upgrade. Starting in October, this train will have 16 coaches instead of just 8. This change comes after 16 new coaches arrived from Mumbai’s Wadi depot about a week ago.

The maintenance work for these new coaches is currently taking place at the Indore railway depot. As of now, these coaches are parked at the Lakshmibai Nagar railway station, waiting to be put into service.

This upgrade is a response to the growing number of passengers and the high demand for tickets. With the new setup, the total number of seats in the train will increase to over 1,150, making it much more accessible for travelers.

Currently, the Indore-Nagpur train has 530 seats, including 52 in the executive class. The railway officials are working diligently to prepare the new coaches for service, which will help meet the needs of passengers, especially during the festive season.

The railway board will decide what to do with the old coaches from the train. It is expected that the upgraded 16-coach train will start operating in the first week of October, providing a much-needed solution to ticket shortages.

Summary:

  • The Indore-Nagpur Vande Bharat Express will have 16 coaches from October.

  • 16 new coaches have arrived and are being maintained in Indore.

  • The upgrade aims to accommodate more passengers due to high demand.

  • Total seats will increase to over 1,150 with the new setup.

  • Railway officials are preparing for the train’s launch in the first week of October.
