What’s inside:

This article shares details about the new bridge construction at Koderma station, replacing an old foot overbridge.

Koderma station has made a significant update by demolishing a 119-year-old foot overbridge that was built during British rule. This old bridge has been replaced with a modern one that features advanced technology and better facilities for passengers.

The new bridge is 80 meters long and is expected to be ready before Diwali. It will connect the two-story station building directly to the Kali temple, making it easier for travelers to access this popular spot.

Passengers will benefit from escalators and lifts, which will help them reach different platforms comfortably. The railway has planned well for this construction, ensuring that heavy machinery can operate smoothly.

To facilitate the work, around 25,000 electric wires were removed. The installation of the bridge girders took place between platforms two and three and four and five, with more sections being completed on subsequent days.

During the bridge installation, a mega block was implemented, which affected train operations temporarily. Passengers are advised to check the updated train schedules to avoid any inconvenience due to delays.

Summary:

  • Koderma station’s old foot overbridge was demolished.

  • A modern 80-meter bridge is being built with advanced facilities.

  • The new bridge will connect directly to the Kali temple.

  • Escalators and lifts will be available for passengers.

  • Train schedules may be affected during construction; check updates.
