Many passengers experienced stress due to the disruption. For instance, 52,000 passengers were reported stranded at the Silli station alone.
The rail authorities are still assessing the total revenue loss and how many passengers received refunds for their tickets. Special arrangements were made for travelers, including food and water, to ease their inconvenience.
