On Saturday, the Kudmi community held a protest that affected train services on the Howrah-Mumbai main line. As a result, 16 trains were cancelled, and 21 others were stuck in traffic.

Many trains had to be diverted or short-terminated due to the protest. Some of the cancelled trains included popular routes like Tata-Chakradharpur and Rourkela-Jayanagar, among others.


Passengers traveling on affected trains were given alternative arrangements. For those going to Tata Nagar and nearby stations, buses were provided from Kandra to help them reach their destinations.

Trains like the Gitanjali Express and others from Mumbai were rerouted through different paths. Some trains were stopped at various stations due to the ongoing protest, affecting travel plans for many.


Railway officials are managing the situation and have made arrangements to minimize inconvenience. Passengers are advised to check their train status before traveling.
