What’s inside:

This article discusses the new 143-kilometer railway line in Rajasthan, connecting Dungarpur and Banswara, along with station details and project updates.

Rajasthan is set to see a new railway line stretching 143 kilometers. This line will connect the Dungarpur and Banswara districts with the rest of India by train. There have been some delays in the project, but it looks like work will pick up speed soon.

The MP for Banswara-Dungarpur, Rajkumar Rot, recently met the Union Railway Minister, Ashwini Vaishnaw. He urged for faster completion of the Dungarpur-Ratlam railway project. The Minister promised to speed up the work on this important project.

Passengers will benefit from new train services as well. The MP has requested a stop for the Vande Bharat Express in Dungarpur and an extension of the Udaipur-Delhi Mewar Express to Dungarpur. Additionally, he wants the Asarwa Express to stop at Bichhiwara.

This railway project was first announced back in the 2010-11 budget. The total length of the track will be 191 kilometers, with 143 kilometers in Rajasthan and 48 kilometers in Madhya Pradesh. The cost has risen from an initial ₹2100 crore to over ₹4000 crore due to delays.

Once completed, the project will include 19 new stations, with 14 in Rajasthan and 5 in Madhya Pradesh. This will likely increase the value of land near the railway line, benefiting local farmers and residents.

Summary:

  • A new railway line of 143 km is coming to Rajasthan.

  • This line will connect Dungarpur and Banswara districts.

  • MP Rajkumar Rot met with the Railway Minister for faster work.

  • There will be 19 new stations, enhancing local transport.

  • Project completion is expected to boost land value in the area.
