What’s inside:

Passengers faced issues with online ticket bookings and UTS machines in Vande Bharat trains, leading to complaints to the rail ministry.

Recently, passengers traveling on the Vande Bharat train faced several problems regarding ticket bookings. This happened particularly on the route from Gorakhpur to Prayagraj via Lucknow. Many travelers struggled with online ticket booking and also had trouble using the UTS machines at the stations.

One traveler named Rakesh Shukla tried to book an online ticket for train number 22549 but received a message saying “ticket not allowed” after making the payment. Despite there being 850 empty seats shown online, the train staff refused to help him get a ticket.

At Charbagh station, another passenger faced a different issue with the UTS machine. After making the payment for a platform ticket, the machine failed to print the ticket and displayed a server error instead. Additionally, there were complaints that a person next to the UTS counter was charging extra money for tickets.

Another complaint came from Dr. Saurabh Maurya, who was on train number 15054 traveling from Lucknow to Chapra. He reported that the air conditioning in his second AC coach was switched off at midnight, leaving passengers uncomfortable. He highlighted that they were paying for AC services but were not getting the expected comfort.

The complaints have been forwarded to the rail ministry, and the DRM of Lucknow has requested officials to investigate these issues promptly. Passengers are hoping for quick resolutions to these problems to ensure a better travel experience in the future.

Summary:

  • Passengers faced issues booking tickets online for Vande Bharat.

  • UTS machines at Charbagh station malfunctioned, causing ticketing problems.

  • There were complaints of extra charges near UTS ticket counters.

  • AC services were reported to be switched off during night travel.

  • Rail ministry officials have been alerted to investigate these issues.
