Railway officials are currently assessing the waste generated by trains, including the Vande Bharat Express, that depart from Durg to Visakhapatnam. This inspection took place on Thursday, where they checked if any garbage was being improperly discarded.

During the inspection, they looked into the types of waste produced, such as plastic plates, disposable glasses, thermocol plates, and snack wrappers. They are also gathering information from other trains like the Durg-Ambikapur and Durg-Bhopal Amarkantak Express.


As part of this initiative, the railway staff is gathering details about cleanliness on platforms and in moving trains. They are focusing on managing the waste that comes from each train to ensure proper disposal.

Awareness and training programs have also been launched for the staff involved in waste management. Senior officials are providing guidance to the on-board housekeeping staff and pantry car workers through special teams and health inspectors.


These efforts will continue daily, with officials interacting with on-board staff from various trains running through important stations like Durg, Bhilai, Raipur, and Bhata para. The aim is to enhance garbage disposal management and maintain better hygiene across the railway services.
