What’s inside:

The article talks about the changes planned for the ticket quota on the Vande Bharat train between Bengaluru and Ernakulam.

The Railways is planning to change the ticket allocation for the Vande Bharat train running between Bengaluru and Ernakulam. This change aims to make it easier for passengers from Kerala to get tickets starting from November 11, 2025.

Currently, people boarding from Ernakulam face difficulty in getting tickets, while those from Coimbatore have more access. During a recent meeting, the Railways discussed these concerns and agreed to address the issue quickly.

With the new quota system, more seats will be reserved for passengers from Kerala. This will especially help those traveling from Ernakulam, making their journey more convenient. Details about the exact number of seats and other specifics will be shared soon.

The committee also suggested introducing more MEMU train services in the region, including new routes from Kottayam to Rameswaram and Ernakulam to Puducherry. They also highlighted the need for better security on trains during night travel.

The Railways will also focus on developing the Nemom and Kochuveli terminals, along with a new terminal at the Ernakulam Marshalling Yard. Passengers can expect improvements in service and facilities in the coming months.

Summary:

  • Railways is changing ticket allocation for Vande Bharat train.

  • More seats will be reserved for Kerala passengers.

  • MEMU services and new routes are being proposed.

  • Improved security for night travel is a priority.

  • Development of new terminals is also planned.
