भारतीय रेलवे ने दिल्ली से मुंबई के बीच की रेल लाइन पर ट्रेनों की गति बढ़ाने का फैसला किया है। यह योजना मुख्य रूप से मालगाड़ियों और पैसेंजर ट्रेनों के लिए है, जिसमें उनकी अधिकतम गति 160 से 200 किलोमीटर प्रति घंटा तक बढ़ाई जाएगी।

इस योजना का एक महत्वपूर्ण हिस्सा तुगलकाबाद में नया ट्रैक्शन पावर सब-स्टेशन (टीपीएसएस) बनाना है। जल्द ही इस प्रोजेक्ट का काम शुरू होगा, जो ट्रेनों के लिए बेहतर बिजली आपूर्ति और सिग्नलिंग सिस्टम सुनिश्चित करेगा।


दिल्ली-मुंबई रेलमार्ग की लंबाई लगभग 1384 किलोमीटर है और यह देश का सबसे व्यस्त कॉरिडोर है। यहां ट्रेनों की औसत गति 100-130 किलोमीटर प्रति घंटा है। नए अपग्रेडेशन से यह गति 160 किलोमीटर प्रति घंटा तक बढ़ जाएगी और ट्रेनों को तेज़ी से चलाने में मदद मिलेगी।

तुगलकाबाद का टीपीएसएस प्रोजेक्ट उच्च वोल्टेज पावर सप्लाई प्रदान करेगा। इससे न केवल पैसेंजर ट्रेनों की गति बढ़ेगी, बल्कि मालगाड़ियां भी ज्यादा तेजी से माल ढो सकेंगी।


इस कार्य को पूरा करने का लक्ष्य तीन महीने का रखा गया है। जैसे ही यह सब-स्टेशन बनकर तैयार होगा, ट्रेनों की गति में सुधार देखने को मिलेगा, जिससे यात्रा का अनुभव और भी बेहतर होगा।
