A Vande Bharat Express train traveling from Patna to New Jalpaiguri faced an issue recently when stones were thrown at it. This incident occurred between the Barauni-Katihar railway section, resulting in a broken window on coach C-2.
The railway control room was informed about the event, and as a result, the Government Railway Police (GRP) and Railway Protection Force (RPF) conducted an investigation at the Novgachia station. They are looking into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
After leaving Patna, the train makes stops at Begusarai, Khagaria, and Novgachia. The stone-pelting happened while the train was passing between the Mansi and Maheshkhunt stations, shortly after departing from Khagaria.
Luckily, no passengers were harmed during the incident, but it has understandably made some travelers feel anxious. Officials are taking this matter seriously to ensure everyone’s safety.
RPF Inspector Munna Kumar stated that the case will be officially recorded at the Mansi and Maheshkhunt stations since that is where the incident took place. The local authorities are committed to investigating the matter further.
