This article talks about recent stone-pelting incidents on the Tata Nagar-Barhampur Vande Bharat train and Shalimar-Kurla Express, causing concern among passengers.

On Friday, there were more incidents of stone-pelting on the Tata Nagar-Barhampur Vande Bharat train near Chaibasa station. This attack broke the glass of seats 41 and 42 in the E-1 coach.

Similar stone-pelting occurred on the Shalimar-Kurla Express as it reached Galudih station, where the glass of the B-4 coach was also damaged. Passengers were understandably frightened by these events.

The Railway Protection Force (RPF) quickly responded by reaching the affected coach to ensure the safety of the passengers. They helped calm everyone down and even provided alternative seating arrangements.

It is important to note that the Vande Bharat train has faced stone-pelting incidents over ten times in the Kolhan and Odisha regions. The RPF has begun installing CCTV cameras along the railway lines to identify those responsible.

These measures aim to improve safety on trains, and the RPF plans to use footage from cameras installed at the engine’s gate to catch those who throw stones.

Summary:

  • Stone-pelting incidents occurred on two trains recently.

  • Passengers were frightened due to the attacks.

  • RPF provided immediate assistance and seating for affected passengers.

  • CCTV cameras are being installed for better security.

  • RPF aims to identify and catch those responsible for these attacks.
