This incident took place just before the Sonipat station, specifically near a sugar mill on the Delhi-Ambala railway line. Thankfully, no passengers or railway staff were hurt, but such actions do put the safety of the passengers at risk.

Following the incident, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) quickly took action. They filed a case against unknown individuals under the Railway Act and have started an investigation to find those responsible.

The RPF team, led by Inspector Sangam Yadav, visited the site to speak with locals, especially young people and children. They emphasized the dangers of throwing stones at trains and urged everyone to help ensure the safety of passengers and protect railway property.

In response to the increasing number of stone-throwing incidents, the RPF has intensified their “Operation Dosti” campaign. They are currently conducting awareness programs along the railway line from Sonipat to Sandal Kalan, but incidents continue to occur on the Delhi-Ambala route.

Summary:

  • Stones were thrown at the Vande Bharat Express near Sonipat.

  • No injuries were reported among passengers or staff.
