Train services towards Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab have come to a halt. This has disrupted train travel from states like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Delhi to Haryana, Punjab, and Jammu.
Due to a misalignment on the BR-17 railway track, the railway operations on this route are completely suspended. As a result, the Northern Railway has cancelled 47 trains until further notice.
In the last five days, more than 250 trains have been cancelled, affecting many passengers. Notably, the Banaras-Jammu and Sambalpur-Jammu trains will have their journeys cut short in Ambala and Amritsar.
