Rail travel between Telangana and Maharashtra is about to get better. The Indian Railways has announced that they will introduce two new Vande Bharat trains. One train will run from Hyderabad to Pune, and the other will connect Secunderabad to Nanded.
These new train services are expected to make journeys faster by cutting down travel time by two to three hours. This will be the third Vande Bharat train link from Hyderabad to Maharashtra, following an existing service to Nagpur.
Currently, Hyderabad has four Vande Bharat trains, and adding these new routes will make it easier for passengers to travel between Telangana and Maharashtra. This change aims to meet the growing demand for quicker travel options.
The government is also looking into replacing the Shatabdi Express train between Secunderabad and Pune with a Vande Bharat service. The Shatabdi currently takes around eight and a half hours to complete the journey and runs six days a week.
With the addition of these two trains, the South Central Railway will have a total of seven Vande Bharat services. There are plans to launch the Secunderabad–Muzaffarpur Amrit Bharat Express soon, providing even more travel options for passengers.
