A stone-throwing incident occurred on the Vande Bharat Express, causing damage to one coach’s window.
In a troubling incident, stones were thrown at the Vande Bharat Express train traveling from Prayagraj to Gorakhpur on Sunday evening. This happened between Kundra and Unchahar stations, resulting in the glass of one coach shattering.
The affected coach was C-11, specifically near seats three and four. Thankfully, no passengers were present in that area when the incident occurred. The RPF team was informed about the situation by one of its members, but they did not specify the exact location of the event.
The train’s driver and guard promptly reported the incident to the station master at Unchahar, as well as to the RPF post and control rooms in Lucknow and Delhi.
To investigate further, the RPF is requesting footage from CCTV cameras in Gorakhpur. This will help identify the exact location of the stone-throwing incident and determine the necessary actions to take.
In the meantime, RPF Inspector SK Singh Yadav mentioned that once the footage is reviewed, proper steps will be taken based on the findings to ensure passenger safety and address the incident.
